* There is one and only one living and true God (Heb. 1:3). * Jesus is the Only Son of God (John 3:16). He was born of a virgin (Luke 2), sent by God the Father to die for the sins of the world, and was raised on the third day (1 Cor. 15:4). * Jesus Christ, who was physically raised from the dead, will return to judge the world and fulfill his kingdom (2 Tim. 4:1). * All people are separated from God by their sinful nature until they trust Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior (Romans 6:23). * The Holy Bible is God’s only written word. It is inspired by Him, and is complete, correct, and without errors (2 Tim. 3:16). * Christian baptism is the immersion of a believer in water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Eph. 4:4-6). * The Lord’s Supper is a symbolic act of obedience whereby Christians, through the partaking of the bread and the fruit of the vine, celebrate the life, death, and resurrection of Christ and anticipate His second coming (1 Cor. 10:16-17). * Each follower of Christ is called to be a witness in the world and to make other disciples (Matt. 28:19-20). * The church is the visible presence of Christ in the world today, and it is the Body of Christ (1 Cor. 12: 27-28).
Do you agree to uphold our volunteer Code of Conduct? *
Volunteers must complete a Kids Ministry Worker Application. We believe that our application, along with our interview, will give us all we need to place a volunteer correctly. Volunteers must be loyal to the pastor and leaders of the church. Our pastor sets the vision for the entire church; we do not want a volunteer to be unwilling or unable to follow the pastor’s lead. In fact, we expect volunteers to support their leaders. Volunteers’ home lives must be in order. Like you, our first priority is your family. We do not want volunteering to add to or cause problems at home. Some seasons in a volunteer’s life require that he or she stay focused solely on what’s happening at home and we are committed to walking alongside our volunteers as problems arise. Volunteers must be willing to make a minimum six-month commitment. We want volunteers to have ample time to test out their role and see if they feel that they are truly able to make an impact in the positions in which they are serving. Volunteers must be faithful in attending regular church service on their off weeks. We want volunteers to grow in their personal relationship with Christ. Volunteers must attend all workers’ meetings and work shops. Your faithful attendance at meetings will keep the ministry running smoothly, keeping you up to speed on all of the exciting things that are taking place within Legacy Kids. In turn, this will help us all effectively minister to our kids. Volunteers must not teach material that is in disagreement with the tenets of the church. We do not want for the kids to be confused with theology that contradicts what we as a church understand to be God’s Truth. If you have any questions as to what we believe or teach, please see our Volunteer Application and let us know if you disagree. Volunteers must inform their coordinators of an upcoming absence as soon as possible and may be asked to assist in finding their own replacements. All volunteers will be provided a volunteer contact list that will aid them in finding a person to exchange dates with them. Volunteers must be at their designated post 45 minutes before services start. Volunteers who show up early are not stressed when kids arrive. Volunteers who show up early are there when a child is dropped off early. Volunteers who show up early are available to pray for and with one another and to give additional help as needed. Volunteers must neat and appropriate in their appearance. We do not have a dress code, but we do have standards. Volunteers should look like people you would trust with your kids. Volunteers must complete appropriate training courses required in their area of ministry. Training will be different for various positions. Volunteers must give thirty days’ notice when resigning a position. Adequate notice gives us time to release volunteers into the next ministry to which God is calling them and to celebrate what God is doing in their lives.
By checking this box I agree the information contained in this application is correct to the best of my knowledge. Should my application be accepted, I agree to be bound by the constitution, bylaws, and policies of Legacy Church and to refrain from unscriptural conduct. *
