Life is CRAZY!

When can you MAKE IT COUNT at home?

The Bible models for us four major times when we can invest in the spiritual lives of our kids. (Deut. 6:7)

  • Drive Time: "when you walk along the road" - Listen to an uplifting CD while you are in your car.
  • Mealtime: "When you sit at home" - Choose one mealtime a week to spend time talking about the KSL virtue of the month or go through the Refrigerator Card as a family.
  • Bedtime: "When you lie down" - Spend some quality time with your child at bedtime working on the Kidstreet Live GodTime Cards.
  • Morning Time: "When you get up" - Write a short note to your child some time this month to help instill this month's value and purpose in their lives.

Make it Count - at School!

Simple ideas for Making It Count – at School!

MOMENT OF SILENCE - Encourage your child to connect with God during the Moment of Silence they have at the beginning of each school day. During that time, they can pray silently - thanking God for the day and asking Him to help them be a good friend and a good student. You could practice this at home by doing a moment of silence together so they can see that they can get more praying done in one minute than they might think!

BACKPACK or LOCKER BLING - Attach pins or keychains to backpacks and/or hang magnets in lockers with simple messages of God's love.

READING TIME - Many schools have reading time during the day in which each child can read whatever they'd like to read. Your child could bring and read their Bible or a mini-devotional during this time of day.

LUNCH NOTES - Include simple Bible verses or prayer notes in your child's lunch to surprise them occasionally.

We'd love to hear from you, too! Let us know what you do to make God's love REAL to your kids while they are at school! Email us kidstreet@legacychurch.org
