Pray for the farmers of Bolaven Farms in Laos and those who train and serve them in the name of Jesus. Pray that the sale and subscription of coffee from the farm through Just Grounds will address the inuustice of poverty in that part of the world. Pray for opportunities to help others trust Jesus as well tell others about the farm.

Description of ministry: Just Grounds and Bolaven Farms are about providing economic, health, education, and spiritual aid to people of Laos. Empowerment and education will assist graduating farmers on the Bolaven Plateau with the ability to obtain land, food, and economic security while sharing about the peace available from Jesus.

Involvement Opportunities

February 8th -- Return Real Options baby bottles full of coins or other donations to the Connections Desk.
February 8th -- Meet Sam Say, founder of Bolaven Farms and Just Grounds. Taste the coffee from Bolaven Farms and subscribe to bi-monthly deliveries to support this Kingdom building ministry.
February 25th -- Pray for the Student Age Parent Program (SAPP) monthly dinner that will be provided by two Legacy Church adult LifeGroups.
This month: Begin preparing for summer mission trips. if you don't have a passport, apply for one, or make sure your present passport doesn't expire before 2/28/10.

Legacy's support of Bolaven Farms: Our Senior Pastor, Gene Wilkes, is a founding director for Just Grounds, a non-profit corporation formed to meet the social, economic, and spiritual needs of the people of Laos. Legacy supports Just Grounds and Bolaven Farms with your coffee subscriptions for monthly distribution.

"In Honor Of" contributions can be made using e-Giving by creating a separate form apart from your tithe and make a comment "Joy 2009" in the additional informational box provided.

Emily's Place (Providence Home located in Plano) - Spruce up the yard and flowerbeds and work outside the house. Bring your yard tools and gloves.: Church-wide garage sale: March 21st - Begin collecting item now! Sales will benefit sending participants on summer mission trips and to the children's summer camp.
