Please turn in your bibles to…Habakkuk. “Wait…you lost me at Habakkuk!” “What’s an Obadiah?” “Haggai…is that even a real book?”   Many people skip over the minor prophets, maybe because it’s hard to pronounce their names, or maybe it’s because their poetic imagery and historical context confuses us. Though we may call minor, they hold a major place in our faith story. In fact, the central theme of the whole bible is found in the minor prophets. They were mostly written after Israel had turned its back on God, & through these prophets, God lays out His plan of restoration for Israel, pointing to a coming Messiah who would heal & redeem what their sin had messed up. If you want to know how to have your life put back together after sin has messed it up…you should read the minor prophets!

In chapter 14, Hosea shares hope for the Israelites that is also hope for us.
