Reading the works of Christians of centuries past can sometimes be a daunting, or even confusing, endeavor. But things change when we read these works in a group and ask the Holy Spirit to guide our understanding. When we seek to be contemplative, asking questions and trusting the Spirit will help us understand written works in light of the truth of Scripture, and we can engage in reading as a spiritual practice that reaps benefits.

Join us on Sunday, June 4 at 9am in the Conference Room as we read a portion of a book by 14th-century writer Julian of Norwich. As a group, we will learn, answer questions, and seek to experience a new way of reading a Christian author. This is a one-time meeting, but if it goes well, we would love to see what other books and authors we can learn from.
