What is a KGroup?
A KGroup is a simple way of growing as a follower of Jesus. The "K" in KGroup stands for the Greek word “Kenosis” which simply means a self-emptying. Members of a KGroup are seeking to “empty” themselves so that they can seek to be filled by the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 5:18).
A follower of Jesus is someone who has placed their faith in Jesus and is seeking to live, love, and serve like Jesus Christ in every area of their life. Each KGroup consists of 3-4 people of the same gender, who commit themselves to a 9-12 month process of growing as a Christian.
Each KGroup will experience a rhythm of:
- Reading & Studying Scripture
- Memorizing 25 Verses of Scripture
- Prayer
- Relational Accountability
At the end of the 9-12 month period, each KGroup member will assess, along with the Discipleship Pastor, if the individual would like to lead a group on their own or to move to another activity. The decision should be made after prayer and counsel has taken place.
Cost for curriculum is $10. If you need assistance purchasing the curriculum, please reach out to our Discipleship Pastor, Justin Foster.
