This Month at Legacy Kids:
Each week our Preschool and Elementary age kids receive a first look at God's Word through fun, age-appropriate learning.
This month, we will begin laying the foundation for some very important future conversations around the subject of sexual integrity. Before we ever talk with kids and teens about what to do and not do with their bodies, we need to start with who made their body and why that makes them so valuable. And a great place to start is now, in the preschool years, with this simple but powerful truth—God made me.
Preschoolers need to learn now that they are wonderfully made by God, in His image. This makes them very important and motivates them to respect themselves and others.

We all wrestle with who we are, and who God says we are meant to be. We feel unqualified. Moses did. Moses was abandoned, a murderer, and felt incompetent as a leader. But God loves unqualified people. God uses unqualified people. God used Moses to free his people from slavery and lead them to the Promised Land. And when we know who God says we are, God can use us to do big things, too.
We are changing things up again this month and borrowing and adapting a curriculum entitled Unqualified. We are leaning into learning more about our Identity: knowing who God says I am. We will hear stories about the Life of Moses. Kids will receive a sketch book they'll work through each week and take home for further conversation at the end of the month. God Time Cards will look a little different and focus on looking up and learning a verse each week. I would like to encourage parents to work alongside their children to help them learn the different verse each week.
The memory verse for the month is: “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.” 1 Peter 2:9
Tools For You:
We want to partner with you, the parent, to help children find and follow Jesus. These tools are available each month to help you participate in your child's spiritual journey and to reinforce the stories and lessons they learn at Legacy Kids.
The Parent Cue provides specific ways for you to reinforce at home what your child is learning at church.
