Count to TEN

Freedom is the cry of victory and relief and joy and delight for the people of God. And the Bible declares, over and over again: freedom is the work of Christ on our behalf (See John 8:36; Romans 8:2; 2 Corinthians 3:17; Galatians 5:1; etc.). Yet, for a lot of us, even when we’re set free, we don’t feel free. That is a shared experience for the people of God throughout time. In the 13th century BC, God set the Israelites free from lives of bondage in Egypt, and 50-days later, He gave them the 10-Commandments. The Law of God was given as an act of love from God, to guide His people to live free and not return to bondage. The order here is everything: gospel, then law; the commandments follow undeserved deliverance. As we spend this season studying the 10-Commandments, we will seek to understand them in the time they were given, as well as how Jesus interpreted them for every one of His followers. He is the One who is able and willing to give us new life, and His ways lead us to walk in abundant life. Join us Sunday mornings at 10:30 am as we: COUNT TO TEN.
