Operation Christmas Child (OCC)
Operation Christmas Child (OCC) shoeboxes share the message of Jesus to unreached children of the world. A child receives one shoebox in their lifetime and every box delivered to a child has the opportunity to reach 10 additional people. Most children who receive a box share their box contents with their family and friends, so as you pack your box take a moment to pray for each box and the impact that it can have on each child's family and friends.
Our 2024 OCC Campaign will run from October 27th–November 17th. Physical boxes can be picked up from the church atrium through Thursday, November 14th. Information on how to pack a shoebox, gift ideas, and box labels are inside each box. All boxes need to be returned to the church by Sunday, November 17th.
An alternate shoebox option is to build one online. Simply use our Legacy Church Build a Shoebox Online site. Online shoebox gifts are built for children in some of the hardest-to-reach places—whether deep jungles, city slums, steep mountainsides, or one of 1,000 remote Pacific islands. Many of these areas are resistant to the Gospel, for cultural or religious reasons, and are home to numerous unreached people groups, some of whom have never heard the Name of Jesus Christ.

Baptist Student Ministry
Legacy Church Missions supports the Baptist Student Ministry (BSM) every Tuesady in the volunteer opportunites for the free lunch outreach for international students on the UTD campus. This is more than providing a free lunch. It is an opportunity for believers to freely share the Good News about Jesus in a positive and natural way. You will make an eternal impact through the gift of your time and your genuine care for student
Volunteers help serve lunch or sit with the students during their lunch (you can grab pizza too), and engage in conversation, with provided "Table Talk Questions" to help get the dialogue started. This is very well organized, making it very easy to serve.

Wells Elementary is asking Legacy Church to connect with its students.
Mentors meet weekly or bi-weekly during the student's lunch or recess time for approximately 30 minutes. This is not academic mentoring. Mentors can bring their lunch and eat with the student; the time with the student is to visit, play games, read books, etc.

Kairos Prison Ministry Cookies
Every cookie matters. Thank you Legacy Church. The cookie goal for this time was 300 dozen. Lani and Barry are taking 323 dozen cookies with them this weekend!
Every Cookie is used in sharing the love of Jesus:
- Cookies are placed on tables during meeting times when the Kairos team of men sit across from the men they are ministering to, showing love and support simply by listening to them.
- Cookies get distributed to the entire unit of approximately 1,350 men.
- The 42 men who are selected for the program take a dozen back to their cell with them each evening after dinner.
- On Saturday of the program weekend, the 42 men take two bags, one for themselves and one to give to someone they need to ask for forgiveness.
Jesus works through every cookie creating ripple effects of deep change in many hearts while making known His Name. We thank you for baking cookies for Jesus.
