Baptism

What is Baptism?

Baptism is a powerful and public declaration of faith in Jesus Christ. It symbolizes a believer’s identification with His death, burial, and resurrection. But what does baptism really mean? Why is it important? And who should be baptized? Let’s explore these questions together.

Why is Baptism Important?

Baptism isn’t just a religious ritual—it’s an act of obedience and a profound spiritual milestone. Jesus Himself was baptized, and He commanded His followers to do the same (Matthew 28:18-20). Baptism represents:

Obedience to Christ

Jesus was baptized (Matthew 3:13-17) and calls us to follow Him.

A Picture of the Gospel

Just as Jesus died and rose again, baptism illustrates our death to sin and new life in Christ (Romans 6:1-4).

A Public Declaration

Baptism is a way of saying, “I’m all in with Jesus.”

A Step in Your Faith Journey

It marks a commitment to growing in faith and walking with Jesus.
