The Power of Jesus to Heal What Hurts

In this message from Luke 4:31–44, we’re reminded that Jesus never appears by accident—He shows up on purpose, with power, and is drawn to our need. Whether it’s a man tormented by a demon, a woman sick with fever, or crowds of people with various struggles, Jesus steps into their stories to heal, restore, and reveal the authority of God.
Through a collection of real-life examples, Scripture reflections, and honest prayer, the sermon highlights three key truths:
Jesus always shows up – Not randomly, not reluctantly. He enters our lives with intentional love, compassion, and a plan to restore what is broken.
Our needs draw His power – Instead of hiding or minimizing our struggles, we’re called to bring them to Jesus. Our need isn’t something to fear—it’s often the very path to experiencing His miracles.
His miracles may not look like what we expect – Healing, provision, and breakthrough might not arrive how or when we want—but they always draw us closer to God’s heart and are always for His glory.
This sermon invites us to stop seeing Jesus as a backup plan and start seeing Him as the active Redeemer in every part of our story. Whether we are pressed, confused, or discouraged, His power is enough—not just to fix, but to transform. But transformation begins when we turn.
So the real question isn’t whether Jesus will show up. It’s this:
Will we make space for His power to work in us?
