Read: Luke 9:28-36
Brief Context: Jesus takes Peter, James, and John up a mountain to pray. There, His appearance is transformed, revealing His divine nature. The disciples hear God speak audibly: “This is My Son... listen to Him.” This moment reframes how they will understand everything to come.
Say: Jesus gives His closest friends a glimpse of His glory—not to impress them, but to prepare them. Clarity came before crisis.
Ask: Why do you think Jesus chose this moment to reveal His glory? What happens when we try to follow Jesus with a blurry or incomplete vision of who He is? What’s one area of your life right now that might change if you saw it through the lens of Jesus’ glory?
Read: Psalm 27:4 & John 1:14
Brief Context: David longed to behold the beauty of the Lord. The disciples experienced this beauty in Christ, the Word made flesh.
Say: When we behold the glory of Jesus, our hearts are realigned. We begin to see ourselves— and our circumstances—through the eyes of eternity.
Ask: What does it mean to "behold" Jesus in a practical sense today? When are you most tempted to fix your eyes on other things? How can you build rhythms this week that help you “see Him more clearly”?
Read: Exodus 33:18-23 & Matthew 14:29-31
Brief Context: Moses begged to see God’s glory. Peter walked on water—until he looked away from Jesus. Clarity comes from focus, not just faith.
Say: When our eyes shift away from Jesus, fear takes over. But when we see Him clearly, our steps grow stronger.
Ask: How do you know when your spiritual “vision” is getting blurry? What has helped you regain focus on Jesus in the past? Where might God be inviting you to walk with greater clarity and courage this week?
Reflective Passages: Colossians 3:1-2, Isaiah 26:3, Philippians 3:8, 2 Corinthians 3:18 Revelation 1:17, John 15:5-8, Romans 12:1-2, Hebrews 12:1-2, James 1:22-25, Galatians 5:24-25, Mark 10:32-34, Philippians 1:6
