Run. Walk. Give.
Join Legacy Church and our Plano community for Miles for Mercy, a family-friendly 5K and Fun Run/Walk benefiting Mercy for Children, a nonprofit serving vulnerable children in Uganda through education, nutrition, clean water, medical care, and other essential support.
Whether you run the 5K, walk a mile with your family, build a team, sponsor the event, or simply make a gift, there's a way for everyone to be part of it.
WHY WE RUN
Mercy for Children, a Plano-based nonprofit, works with children and families in the Kiyoora community of Uganda, where extreme poverty has forced some families and young children to work in stone quarries to survive.
Today, Mercy for Children is helping create another path through education, meals, clothing, clean water, childcare, and ongoing support.
Your generosity can make a tangible difference.
$100 can provide clean water for children at the Mercy Center for one month.
$150 can provide school registration, meals, educational materials, a uniform, backpack, and school supplies for one child for one year.
$250 can help provide meals, childcare, and clothing for one child for one year.
JOIN THE RACE
You don't have to be an experienced runner to participate.
Come race for a personal best, walk with friends, bring the kids or gather a team. Both events are designed to welcome participants of all ages and experience levels.
All runners will receive a shirt and medal.
