Before you extend an invitation, build the bridge with connection.
During Lent, we are challenging everyone to invite someone to join them at Legacy Church on Easter. For some this may feel intimidating, but we're going to walk through how to prepare our hearts with the Holy Spirit to allow Him to work through us.
Week 3 Goal: CONNECT
People rarely receive spiritual invitations from relational strangers. In fact, Jesus consistently built relational bridges before speaking transformational truth.
But our presence with them can open hearts. Consistent care often prepares the soil for gospel moments. Do not force moments; instead, faithfully form them with small steps. Our role is obedience and love; God handles the outcomes.
Before God moves publicly, He often invites His people to pray privately. Prayerful intercession is participation in what God is already doing.
Week 3 Plan
Pick one practical action to take with the person you'd like to invite:
- Send a check-in text
- Ask "How can I pray for you?"
- Schedule coffee or lunch
- Serve them in a practical way
Pay attention to what you learn about their world, write down one thing you discovered, and continue daily prayer.
