Welcome Mason to the Legacy Worship Collective

I’m excited to share that we’re welcoming Mason Grimes to serve alongside our team as the Legacy Worship Collective Music Director. 

Mason will partner with our existing Legacy Worship Collective (LWC) team to help develop musicians and leaders, strengthen the systems that support our Sunday worship gatherings.  

What I appreciate most about Mason isn’t his musical talent, of which he is extremely gifted. I’ve had the opportunity to watch Mason lead, and what stood out is his character. He brings clarity, encourages people well, and has a genuine love for the local church.  

Mason has served as the drummer and Music Director in churches such as Oaks Church, Converge Church, and Doxology Youth. He’s also led alongside artists like Jimmy Needham, Hollyn, Charity Gayle, nobigdyl, Shane & Shane, and SOJO. But more than his experience, I believe he is a great addition to the LWC because of his humility, teachability, and passion for serving people.  

Mason and his wife, Susie, have four kids, and we’re excited to welcome their family into the life of Legacy. If you see them around, be sure to introduce yourself and help us make them feel at home.  

Mason's addition to our team comes at the same time that Rebekah Prim has stepped down from her role as Worship Director. God has opened some exciting opportunities for Rebekah in music, theater, and production, and she feels the Lord leading her to invest more of her time and gifts in those areas. This is an incredible mission field for Rebekah, and we're excited to see where God takes her in this next season. 

We celebrate that Rebekah is continuing on as one of our primary worship leaders as part of the LWC, helping lead our Sunday church worship, while also continuing to serve and support the areas of sound and production here at Legacy. Join us in expressing to Rebekah your appreciation for her service and excitement for her next chapter when you see her on Sundays!

And while we’re talking about the Worship Collective, this is also a great time to say: there’s room for you here too.  

Our Legacy Worship Collective includes far more than the people you see on stage. If you love to sing, play an instrument, run sound, work with video, lights, or displays, we’d love to help you find a place to serve. You don’t have to be a professional; instead, we need people willing to learn, serve, and be part of the team.  

I’m grateful for what God is already doing through our Worship Collective and excited to see how He continues to grow it in the season ahead.
