When I first came to Legacy, I honestly thought, “There’s no way everyone here can really be this welcoming.” But the longer I’ve been here, the more I’ve seen it to be true. Legacy is a church family that faithfully serves one another and genuinely strives to outdo each other in showing honor. Every Sunday night, I get a front-row seat to that reality as our students gather to encourage, uplift, and love each other well.
My heart for our youth group is simple: I want to see students faithfully pursue and love Jesus more each day. My prayer is that through time in God’s Word and running alongside a community of believers, students would find Legacy to be a safe place where they can grow deeper in their walk with Christ.
I grew up just down the road in Keller, Texas, and after graduating from Ouachita Baptist University, I served as a Camp Director in Birmingham, Alabama. These days, when I’m not trying to prove I’m still the youth group’s best ping pong player, you’ll probably find me watching sports (go Cowboys!), hunting, or exploring new places.
