Faith in a Drought

God forms dependence in places of our weakness and He always meets His people with the mercy of “enough” for today. Elijah and the widow learn that today’s provision is often preparation for tomorrow’s miracle. But the real hope of the story is resurrection - the God who fills the jar is the God who defeats death. When your strength is gone, the Lord who sustains you is the same Lord who will one day make all things new.
